AI made product marketing more fun

I used to spend hours digging through code and repos to understand our product. Now I do it in 10 minutes. AI gives us new superpowers. The question is what we do with them.

I haven’t had this much fun with AI in a while. The recent models and access are something, and I keep finding new ways it’s useful.

I used to spend hours digging through code and repos just to understand how our product actually works. Entrance flows, edge cases, the stuff engineers know by heart but no one documents for marketers. And if you know WordPress, you know how complicated things can get.

Now I do it in 10 minutes.

I used Claude Code to dig into how our product actually works. Mapped the flows myself, found the gaps, and came to the table with sharper thinking. No pings. No waiting.

But there’s a real risk.

Product marketers getting too deep in the code can lose the plot. Our job is connecting product to market, not becoming engineers.

AI gives us new superpowers. The question is whether we use them to do our actual job better or just feel busy in new ways. I think we’re building a new version of what a marketer can be.
